River Wildlife, a distinguished private recreational and dining club, is a wilderness preserve encompassing more than 500 acres of unspoiled land, seven miles of the meandering Sheboygan River and more than 25 miles of scenic woodland trails. A country club in the woods, River Wildlife is a relaxed, secluded place to get down to business, or escape from it. A rustic log cabin with a massive fieldstone fireplace, six intimate dining rooms featuring pine floors and antique wood furnishings is headquarters for the club and home to the reknowned Lodge Restaurant. Culinary creations like Thyme Roasted Duck with a Door County Cherry Tawny Port Glaze and Rushing Waters Smoked Salmon Watercress Chowder are part of the ever-changing regionally inspired menu.
Enjoy the outdoors with recreational activities including hiking, horseback riding, canoe & kayaking, trapshooting and five stand clays, upland bird hunting, fishing, and cross country skiing. Also available to members are four hike-in campsites and our secluded one-room lodging cabin, the Tomczyk.
Resort guests with lodging reservations at either the American Club or Inn on Woodlake are welcome to experience River Wildlife facilities with the purchase of an entrance pass. Advance reservations are required for most activities and dining. Sunday-Thursday evening dining for groups of 12 or more by advance reservations; please call 920-457-0134 or 800-344-2838.
