What is the PGA Championship?

It is a week-long event; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are practice rounds with championship play on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The PGA Championship is one of the four major professional golf championships (the others include The Masters held in April, the U.S. Open held in June and The British Open held in July). The PGA Championship winner receives the coveted Wanamaker Trophy. The highest-ranked players in the world are scheduled to compete.
